Welcome!

Welcome to Austen Nights. Everything is new here. I'm Heather Lynn and I'm delighted to announce the publication of my book Fitzwilliam Darcy, Rockstar (previously known as Slurry) in the Fall of 2011 from Sourcebooks. The book will be available in trade paperback and electronic formats. I don't have an exact publication date, but when I get one, you'll be the first to know.

I'm hoping to follow Fitzwilliam Darcy, Rockstar, with an updated version of Longborne & Pemberly go to War. And then, I have some new works brewing in the back of my head.

  1. Hi! I'm a FAN of both Slurry and LPGTW. In fact, Slurry was my intro to the world of JAFF. I can't begin to tell you what a wonderful addition this has been to my life. I'm a 71 year old Grammy of 8 and trying to get at least one of them interested in JA. No luck so far ,but I'm persistent!
I will purchase both books when published, probably in ebook format.
Can I get your blog in my email? Don't know how Google friend works. I do have a facebook page.
Looking forward to hearing more of and from you!! barbiewp

  2. Barbiewp! You're my hero! Wow, you have better grasp on new tech than I do. (I'm still working on texting lol!) I checked out the Googlefriend, and you can follow the blog without being a part of it (click on 'more options' when you sign up) or you can explaore Googlefriends (I have no idea what that does)

After Slurry comes out, I'm planning on following it with L&PGTW. Both are going to be availabe in ebook format.

Thanks so much for being my first commenter.

  3. I'm massively excited for you as you begin your career as a professional writer, HL. I've loved Slurry...eh, Fitzwilliam Darcy, Rockstar from the first word, and I can't wait to hold the printed book in my hot little hands.
It'll be interesting to see what makes it into the finished book and what gets left on the cutting room floor. Rest assured, though, that I'll be scooping up all those bits. Too good to let go to waste.:)
Congratulations, HL! I'll be following your blog.
    Best, Debbie

  4. OH. MY. GOODNESS! Really? I've been a fan of your stories for a few years now and I can't tell you how excited I am to hear that Slurry is going to be published. *I still have my Slurry CD in my car* shhhh!

Seeing L&PGTW in print will do my heart good as well. Especially since I'm now a member of the SCA! LOL! Thanks for blogging!!!

  5. Hey, Heather Lynn-

I happened upon this while procrastinating for a work presentation, and am very excited.

I'm an old fan from HG, and am extremely happy to see you active and thriving, and to hear that you're publishing Slurry (but probably not with a companion CD...).

I can't wait to read more of your stuff, and I wish you fabulous success with the first launch.
